Salaries not paid

Am reading there are problems with Nationwide, Virgin, HSBC and Barclays.
I've not received my salary. Was told it would be fixed this morning, still nothing.

Pretty shit in this day and age tbh.

Luckily I have it arranged so my bills don't come out til 5th precisely because of shit like this but it's annoying because I wanted to pay off my credit card today.

My salary has gone into my bank this morning as usual and I am with nationwide.

I overheard a conversation at work earlier on these lines, someone whose money was normally there before they got up and checked their account didn't get it until quite a bit later so I can see how if you dont check first thing you wouldnt necessarily know it was late

Mine normally comes in about 4am.
Still nothing.

I'm also trying to organise a collection for a gift for a colleague having a baby so it's not assisting there either!

Not life and death obvs but it is 2024! We shouldn't be having these banking meltdowns.

Mind you, their technology is so crummy, perhaps it's based on the same tech as Boots Online Doctor! Which I've also been frustrated with this morning!

Might not be life and death, I agree, but this could really screw some peoples finances over!

It's not acceptable when we are so reliant on technology based banking now. It should be fool proof!

I had all sorts of issues with our work online business banking this morning. All the money in and out that was already scheduled was absolutely fine, but when I went to pay our suppliers, nope. Computer says no.
So that's the best part of a hundred grand I couldn't pay out. They will all have to wait until Monday now. We pay our salaries out on the 1st, so it hasn't affected them, thank goodness.

Feeling very sorry for everyone moving house today. I hope all the solicitors manage to do all the movements of funds between buyers and sellers okay.

I've seen on twitter that they are still having problems but it does say not all customers are affected
