Mushroom tea/gummies for ADHD

I'm getting endless ads for these on my Instagram.

I'm a sucker for marketing, so before I waste any more money....

Has anyone had any? Any good for ADHD symptoms ie focus?

Any recommendations? Or another scam?

Following with interest. I have been taking Lions Mane but I haven't noticed much of a difference TBH

Scam.

You need proper medication.

ICanTuckMyBoobsInMyPockets · 28/06/2024 09:27

Yes I absolutely do but given it's a 2 year wait list I wondered if there was something to help in the mean time.

Have you got personal experience?

My husband and eldest both have ADHD, and I have some traits (eg massive time blindness, very distractible).

He swears by the mushroom tea and when I was going through an intense time at work suggested I try it too. In my opinion it really helps. Plus, it’s delicious.

If you can afford them, try it. Give it a go for a couple of months, see if it works for you. It’s the only way to know for sure.

I’m trying them for perimenopause brain fog. I’m aware there are no big clinical studies (there never are for natural medicine). Think I can focus a little better but it takes weeks/months of taking regularly. They are very expensive. So that is the downside.

Not a scam as such but no clinical data and cost is your biggest downside. I love medicinal mushrooms on the whole though so for me worth the cost.

Does anyone have recommendations?

LookingForEnergy · 28/06/2024 10:37

Neither of those but my DH has ADHD and caffeine is supposed to be helpful. Wouldn't go overboard on that either though, and would research it for yourself. (And not for children either).

vincettenoir · 28/06/2024 10:41

Where do you get the tea from? Is it very expensive?

DogandMog · 28/06/2024 10:59

Try tyrosine... it's a dopamine precursor and will help you focus and be motivated. Don't take it every day though as you build tolerance. Also aim to eat a protein rich diet with the aromatic amino acids (tyrosine, phenylalanine & tryptophan) along with B vitamins and iron.

I didn't get any benefit from lion's mane at all.

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 28/06/2024 11:28

Me too and I really want to try it to see if it helps with my terrible procrastination but there’s so many how are you supposed to know which to chose?? I tend to just assume everything is a scam these days!

Hello,

I've a boy of 10,with adhd . The main problem is the concentration or be focus. He already had Fews treatments , hyperactive side it worked. But on the other hand, focus is still an issue. Can anyone recommend, or can share your experience in a way to help us to understand, what's the best for our child. Thanks

Look into methylated B vitamins.
