ds4 fever and fatigue?

2 nights ago my son was really tired and had a temperature of 38. He woke up fine the next morning, then same thing happened last night - high fever and fatigue. Woke up bright and early this morning, seeming fine, then by 6pm he's fell asleep with a temperature of 39.9?

What could be causing this? He hasn't complained of any aches or pains so I'm stumped!

Normal with a virus...in the day the body's cortisol suppresses the immune response so you feel ok, and when it drops in the evening the body starts fighting again, temp goes up and you're knackered. He'll either fight it off quickly with no other symptoms or get more (typically a bad cold).
