Help needed with email to estate agent

I'm want to instruct a different estate agent. Would do I need to say in the email to my current agent?

Anyone done this?

As per the terms of our contract I hereby give X days notice to terminate the agreement made on Y date and remove my property from being marketed by Smith-Jones & Co from [date]
