Covered in bruises

I've had an accident that means I'm covered in bruises, from a black eye, to arms and legs. I'm OK, but sore and look a mess.

I'm going to a day long outdoor event tomorrow. I'd planned shorts and a sleeveless top, or would you attempt to cover up some of the bruises?

PS, I've barely left the house since it happened, so I'm a bit worried about people's reaction. I do look like I've been beaten, but I haven't.

It was an accident OP so you can just tell people if they wonder. It’s nothing to be embarassed about. Get well soon!

I wouldn't cover up. If people ask you've had an accident.

I went to work after stupidly giving myself a black eye. After a few questions I forgot about it.

?? were you beaten up? what an odd reason to not go out.. because it looks like you have been beaten up?

Wear what you want.. if anyone asks, tell them you've been in an accident!

Just wear whatever you were originally planning on wearing.

No point being hot & uncomfortable all day just for the sake of being self-conscious!
