I don't think he's performed well (who has?), but I wouldn't have taken him, knowing he'd likely have to leave during the competiton, regardless of his performance.

To be fair a lot of them do seem decent now, compared to the footballers of 20 years ago (Rooney, John Terry, Beckham etc). Kyle Walker is probably the worst of the current bunch.

that's a fair point actually, I know one of them, Declan Rice is getting lots of online abuse over his average looking girlfriend, it's awful but he seems decent, a lot of Irish people would disagree with me I'm sure 😆
