Love hot weather but I live in the wrong house.

I'm in Hampshire, also hot, but I prefer it to rain. Just.

Buy a fan?

I live in a flat. Im on the top floor.
Had to bring my fans out, took a shower but still bloody hot! And in winter? Bloody cold! Insulation is nonexistent.

Mid 50s concrete semi and it too is boiling. I'm cuddling my cold hot water bottle and have put an ice pack in my bed for in a bit.

Also too hot. 30c in my kitchen today, unpleasant wfh! Hoping for some relief tomorrow. I love the sun but the humidity has been horrible.

Wet a towel and use it as a cover, it's the nicest feeling ever lying naked under a wet towel in a heatwave! Really does keep you cool. You will thank me later!

It feels as if my three fans are just pushing hot air at me but I'd still rather be here than where you are.

I did this in front of a fan. It was amazing. I put the towels through a rinse on the washer to get them evenly wet but not dripping!

We had air con fitted in our house 2 years ago & it's the best thing ever in the heat. Never used to be able to sleep in hot weather! 🥵

I've just remembered I have a gel eye mask thingy in the freezer, I've heard your brain needs to get down a degree or so to sleep so should help.

I bought portable aircon units, a couple of years ago when we had unusually hot weather, got them in each of the bedrooms now, definitely one of my better purchases, couldn't sleep without them when it gets to hot.

It's 28 in My bedroom I can't sleep with the sound of a fan I think it makes an awful sound in a quite room. I can't even open my windows because they smoke weed next door.

I'd there such thing as a silent fan?

@Lostrrack33 same here ! I need silence and my neighbours are weed smokers too ! (thou in the mornings ) just got back from Turkey and the aircon was ridiculously loud I had earplugs and it still didn't block it out 😩
