Recently I read a tip on here that Aldi dishwasher tablets were good ( numerous mumsneters said this) so I bought some think they were £3.99 in a silver packet. They are amazing!!! My dishes/glasses come out sparkling clean and fab even after a short wash.

So my question is what has mumsnet done to improve your life?

I will think of more

Balancing a wooden spoon across a saucepan of food - it will stop it from boiling over. Best tip ever

I discovered DD1 might get extra time for GCSEs, she did and it really helped.

Then I learned from a wonderful poster about equine horse therapy for DD2 and that saved us in the aftermath of the first wave of the pandemic.

A few years ago we were doing up our house do bathrooms, kitchen etc. I found a Mumsnet thread about if you were doing up your bathroom again what would you do differently, which was absolutely invaluable. Also I found loads of advice on kitchens, appliances etc and all this really shaped our decision making for the better.

Also MN has helped me articulate my feminist views much more clearly.

I have learned tonnes, from starting here when pregnant and read loads about homebirth and slings, to household tips, to podcasts, to bigger issues info.

Random tip that comes to mind is cleaning a wooden table with a mix of vinegar and oil, so much better than the wax I had on there that created watermarks at the slightest drip.

MN has been by therapy for every marriage and family dilemma I have had. Love it.
