Oodie sleep tees- are they worth it?

TinselAngel · 25/06/2024 21:37

The Facebook algorithm seems determined to sell me an Oodie sleep tee, and they look nice but are shockingly expensive- £44 in the sale!

Has anyone here bought them and if so what is special about them that justifies that price?

Theres a Pokémon one not in the sale that is 74 quid!

I think I have the same FB algorithm! I can’t see how they can be worth it but following with interest

Bellybootcut · 25/06/2024 21:39

Yep. I have two. They really are amazing quality and lovely and floaty and cool. Both in sale though. I don't think they are worth full price.

Funkyfizz · 25/06/2024 21:42

Amazon has plenty of much cheaper knock off versions.

Ouchfuckingouchmyarse · 25/06/2024 21:45

I have two and I really like them. The material is kind of boingy and stretchy very enjoyable to wear!

What sort of material are they?

Are they any different to the real thing? (Other than price).

No idea, sorry. I wouldn't pay 70 odd quid for an oversized T shirt though.

Turfaccountant · 25/06/2024 22:04

Yes they absolutely are if you get them in the sales, I have 5 now and would never go back.

What's so good about them?

What's so good about them?

Absolutely huge so I don't get a boob hanging out ( nothing worse than waking up to find one of the girls bondaged to your front) and by what can only be some kind of witchcraft they're really cool to wear, an absolute must when you're going through the menopause.

TinaYouFatLard · 25/06/2024 22:12

I LOVE them and have 3. It’s hard to describe but the are really light and airy but also heavy and comforting!

Bellybootcut · 25/06/2024 22:13

They're made of bamboo and elastane and have good useful deep pockets too.

PinkyBlueMe · 25/06/2024 22:14

I have 3 and love them. They are heavy material but feel very cool.

Barleysugar86 · 25/06/2024 22:16

material is bamboo- light and keeps you cool. They are very comfortable- I got two in the sale at christmas. I love wearing them, very comfortable and slinky. They aren't really nighties I'd wear in front of anyone other than DH though as my nipples are very... prominent under the material.

familyissues12345 · 25/06/2024 22:20

I absolutely love mine. I treated myself before my gallbladder op last year and they were a godsend.
Like someone said earlier, they are heavy and snug, but also really light and airy. I by far have the best nights sleep when I'm wearing them

Armychefbethebest · 25/06/2024 22:23

I've got 3 , they are lovely and comfortable you don't get them wrapped around you in the night ,nice big pockets and they have some sale ones currently at 29 ,there's no way I'd spend 70 on a nightie well worth 39 though I love chilling in the house with them.

MeinKraft · 25/06/2024 22:24

The book one is £29 in the sale. Think the cheapest I ever got one was £24. Absolutely worth it imo they're another level of comfort. I have one of the Amazon knock offs too and they definitely feel cheaper, they're much lighter but that's not necessarily a bad thing on hot nights. When I put my phone in my oodie pocket it doesn't affect the shape of it but when I put my phone in my Amazon sleep tee pocket it weighs that side of it down to my knees Grin

Could you link to the Amazon one? Smile

Noseybookworm · 25/06/2024 22:36

I have 3 and I love them. They are loose and cool and really comfortable to wear. Made from bamboo I think, very soft. I'm peri-menopausal and very hot a lot of the time but they keep you cool. Got mine for £29 in the sales which is still quite expensive I think but I wear them all the time so worth it for me.

I've just ordered the book one on the strength of this. I'm very weak willed!

@spikeandbuffy here you go...they're not actually much cheaper than the proper Oodie ones now! Think mine was £15 when I bought it but there might be other cheaper versions if you look about.

Puravida23 · 25/06/2024 22:43

Everyone seems to love them but I have one and hate it. I keep losing my arms in them as they are so big I often wake up and my arms are no longer in the sleeves but inside it. I am quite a restless sleeper so I don’t know if it is that but I just don’t get on with it

TheFireflies · 25/06/2024 23:12

I bloody love mine. I just bought one of the full length ones so I’m totally swamped by it now but still super cool (temperature, not looks)

Thank you! I keep eyeing up the splatter print real one

ShrinkingEveryDay · 25/06/2024 23:17

Are they one size fits all? Can’t find a size thing!
