9 year old girl (almost), very "young", lives overseas and is outdoors, up trees, building with sticks all the time. Loves reading and art, but those categories are covered, gift-wise.
Looking for something "trendy" that will be a wow present from the UK. She's not actually bothered by trends (they haven't reached her part of the world!), but is always a bit in awe of Western cousins' "cool" things when they visit.
I'm thinking toy, rather than a cool water bottle etc, as she's definitely still into toys rather than accessories/ jewellery.
Big hit a couple of years ago was a scruffaluv, but I'm not sure what the equivalent is now...? What's cool but still young, but not babyish?!
(She still plays with the scruffaluv, so something with some quality/longevity would be a bonus! She won't know if fashions move on!)
