Student with children - where to find accommodation?

Hi everyone,

I have two young children (2 and a newborn) and have to leave my current house because of stalking from partner who keeps breaching bail to come to the house and see me and the kids.

I have several issues:
I still have 6 months left on my tenancy agreement
I'm a SAHM and don't have any income. partner was the breadwinner.
I'll be starting uni again in September in Glasgow.

Is there any way for me to find accommodation as soon as possible? Are there private student accommodation for families? My uni doesn't offer that. Can I get a place in a family student accommodation from another uni?
Is it possible to cancel my contract?

I feel stuck. I need to move as soon as possible. I have a guarantor but no income at all

Thank you so much

I think you need to call the police immediately. He will likely be arrested and be put back on remand. You can then stay for the remaining tenancy and have time to find suitable accomodation if necessary.

Call the police
stay for the rest of the tenancy
claim UC as a single parent
defer the course for a year… you have a newborn and a 2 year old… who’s looking after them while you go to lessons?

I have, he's been released under the same bail conditions, he was arrested for stalking (separate offense) but let go for lack of evidence, it's nfa until more evidence comes in for now.

He's been coming consistently and disappearing before police could come.

The locks are getting changed but SS are pressuring me to find somewhere else asap. I'm on tier 1 priority (the highest one) in council houses but they said even that might take months so they want something quick in the meantime.

Contact refuge for advice. It may be for your own safety you might have to defer your university course or apply for a different university

I was told by my MARAC agent that I wasn't eligible. But I'll try and contact the refuges directly.
