First time swimming

I would really like to take my little girl swimming she is 18 months. The problem is I'm struggling to figure out how to use swimming nappies and even find ones to fit her! She is massive but healthy the midwifes are genuinely shocked how big she is. So I need a swimm nappy of sorts that would fit like a 7-8 year old? 22kg+. If they exist surely. Thanks for any help

The splash about jammers are some of the biggest I saw when I was looking for my 3yo a while ago but still really for 3-4 year olds max. In context though your 18m old weighs 5kg more than my 5yo so you are going to be limited re normal baby products. You might need to look to see if there are products aimed at children with disabilities to get the large enough size but unless her height is proportionate with the weight you might struggle with fit.

What size actual nappies do you use?

Look for a reuasable swim nappy. I found some online that are ok up to 22kg

At 18 months that is very exceptional, you need to be looking at options for older children with Sen or if you know someone handy with a sewing machine, custom make them.

I would suggest though speaking to your dr about weight as this doesn't seem to be anywhere in normal range, midwives don't deal with toddlers so can't advise you. For context mine were in size 4 nappies and weighed under 8kg
