What are you wearing to bed in this horrible heat?

I'm most comfortable in a nightie, DH sleeps nude not that I mind too much-- Grin.--

My only moan is that I wake up looking like hagrid as apparently my head gets sweaty.

There's just something about my lightweight cotton snoopy nightie (m&s for the win).

Am I the strange one here MN?

xxxl cheap men’s cotton shirt which may or may not be thrown off in the middle of the night if I wake up due to a hot flush or nightsweat and a pair of pyjama trousers but only on only one leg as if I don’t then my thighs sweat and stick together 😩😲

I have been considering cutting a leg of a pair of leggings and wearing it like a bandage but not sure if it’ll just roll down.

god I’m fucking weird!

Yes! Exactly this! I can't stand that sticky leg thing! I just read this after I posted. So you're not weird. Or you are and so am I 🤷🏼‍♀️😁

Wet T-shirt

FeelingHotHotHotFeelingHotHotHot · 25/06/2024 16:29

Naked.

And it's really not THAT bad. 26C here (north midlands,) I think people are going OTT because it's been soooo long since we had proper decent weather!

I mean FFS, the news has been giving HEAT WARNINGS, and danger to life warnings. It's only in the mid 20s FFS! 😂

How are people going to cope if/when it hits 38-40C like it did several years ago!

And how dare people whinge when so many people have been complaining about it being sooooooo coooooooold for so many months, and asking 'where is the summer?!'

People should be grateful it's lovely now! 😎

I'm wearing a cotton nightie. My house is cool at the moment but I get that some people live in houses or flats or mobile homes that trap heat.

Naked!

Yuk- sweaty!

NoEffingWay · 25/06/2024 19:28

I used to sleep naked but then DH had a medical emergency at 5am and whilst calling 999 and dealing with all of that, I was also trying to put pj's on so I didn't have to answer the door in the nude! I don't think the emergency services get paid enough to deal with me without clothing on in the early hours. ConfusedGrinBlush

Agree.

I'm a heat hater and so far I'm coping ok so I don't think it's really worth all the fuss.

WappityWabbit · 25/06/2024 20:14

What heat? It's pleasantly warm but not remotely hot where I live. I still have a 4.5tog duvet on the bed and DH has an extra blanket draped over his feet 'cos they're always cold. It even rained this afternoon. 😂

NoEffingWay · 25/06/2024 21:26

I'm in the midlands and it was 32c today. It's so sticky and humid. Hopefully by the end of the week it'll be better. I'm okay in the day but prefer sleeping in a cool room (prob about 17c ish) so anything in the mid 20's feels too warm for me.

I wear nothing in bed but am sleeping on top of the covers at the moment covered with a beach sarong.

I own dressing gowns to cope with that.

GettingAwayFromYou · 25/06/2024 23:23

27° in my bedroom so just knickers tonight.

This. ^ And how long would it have taken to pull some pyjama bottoms or jeans on, and a t-shirt, to get to the door? Half a minute? Not sleeping naked in case there is an emergency situation is batshit!

Copperoliverbear · 26/06/2024 00:55

Vest and knickers.

QuinionsRainbow · 21/07/2024 14:28

Just my birthday suit, started as a 10 year old during the heat-wave of 1976, at Mum's and Dad's suggestion, and never looked back. DH ditto, and he keeps the monsters away.

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 21/07/2024 14:32

Any of my Pour Les Femmes nighties, fabulous.
