I’m sure lots of you must’ve heard of these things, where you either win a free photoshoot or get given a cheap offer for one. You go along on the day and find they’re very pushy, and you end up having to pay a lot extra for a set of photos, or charged way more than you were expecting etc, and they put a lot of pressure on you.
Which is bad enough as it is, but why do so many shows continue to let these things be promoted? I went to a show this weekend and this woman was so pushy trying to get me to sign up. It sounded suspicious from the start so I said I’d think about it. Googled them later and found lots of bad reviews complaining about extras charges and deposits not being returned etc.
Do shows really just let anyone have a stall as long as they’re paying for it, even if they’re not even relevant to the show? I’m annoyed as it reduced my enjoyment of the day, as well as the knowledge that some unsuspecting people would’ve been talked into signing up.
