Anyone in the medical field here?

Last night I noticed my eye was like this while taking my contacts out, a surprise as I felt nothing and put it down to lifting a roasting dish out of the oven. Today, the eyes is less red but I have a mild but constant one sided headache on the same side. One sided headaches are something I have now and again always this side, mild pain but always there, that moves from back of head to top, above ear and also around my eye sockets. Slight ear ache too
I wouldn't usually be concerned about headache but with the red eye it's unusual also because I'm due to fly in 5 days. I am very coherent and bp is very slightly higher than my usual limits but I'm a bit anxious. I'm 55. Outside UK so can't call NHS helpline. They could just be coincidence to have happened at the same time but not related as I feel fine and healthy otherwise.

Its a subconjunctival haemorrhage. You often get a mild headache with them. Nothing to worry about though, should clear up by itself in a week or two. They are sometimes associated with high BP BUT my DMum gets them all the time and has v low BP so can just be coincidence.
