Chatting to 5y/o DD today and happened to mention the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover". Explained to her what I meant etc and the day resumed.

I asked her a little later on if she remembered the phrase we had spoke about and she said, with great conviction and confidence;

"Looks a bit weird on the outside but it's nice on the inside."

Not quite but I'll allow it Grin

Kids are so weird but heartwarming at the same time.
Bloody love her.

They are funny aren't they. DS is 5 and I always call him my baby and he goes no I'm a big boy not a baby. Then last week I said you will always be my baby even when you're 94, he turned to me looked me in the eye and went don't be silly mummy you will be dead by then.

Then today DH was putting up a greenhouse for my parents and my mum was sat inside fastening to outside to the poles, he said to her, grandma it's not for you to sit in and grow it's for the tomato's to grow
