Children's omega 3

Can anyone recommend a good quality omega 3 capsule that their children will happily take? I have a very fussy 4 year old who will not take anything the least bit fishy. Do the (strawberry) flavoured chewable capsules taste like fish?

Why do they need one? Are they deficient? Might be better to encourage a balanced diet where their needs are met.

I agree it would be better to address through diet however without force feeding my son he will not be getting sufficient omega 3 as he does not eat any oily fish. I do manage to grind a few flax/chia/hemp seeds into his peanut butter.

Mine take Eskimo 3 Bright Kids jelly splats. 54 mg EPA and 270 mg DHA in each splat. They're orange flavour and both seem to love them. Not cheap though.

OP I’m a child of the 70s. Can’t say I consumed much omega 3 either- the average housewife knew nothing of its existence. Just feed a healthy balanced diet. He will be ok!

Thank you for the tip, these look good other than the price.

I took cod liver oil of a spoon in the 70’s so my DM clearly did.

Mine take Lil Critter gummies.
