If I was a small bear, where would I be?

My DS has lost his bear/best friend. We know he's somewhere at home! He was last seen in the garden on a chair but come bedtime we couldn't find him (we didn't go out in that time). He could be next door but obviously I can't scour their house/garden like I can my own. DS must have picked him up and put him down somewhere.

He's a jellycat bear, so not massive but not tiny. I've looked in obvious places like the drawers, bin, DS's bed etc. but want to ask the wisdom of MN for less obvious places to check!

I feel really bereft. Possibly more so than DS.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've done a fairly comprehensive look at the downstairs (Inc. wellies!) and no joy. Upstairs next.

We lost a jelly cat frog (soggy froggy) and found him years later down the back of the reclining chair....

Also in a saucepan in a cupboard....

You have my sympathy.....the number of times I was looking for my son's jelly cat lamb. We had 3 and have one of the originals left,...

I once left DDS fluffy dog ( No1 comforter) at her toddler ballet class when she was 3. It was the last lesson before summer break and he was waiting for us when we returned in September. Could he have left it at a club/ the park?

Did the garden chairs have cushions on which since been taken in ?

Were the picnic blankets or anything outside which they were tucked in to ?

Was the washing on the line and it was out in the basket when that was taken in? Have you checked laundry

Outdoor storage like shed or cubby house folded into the chairs?

In the climbing frame, in a flower pot, behind a full length curtain, under the sofa, on a shelf hiding in plain sight, wrapped up in a blankie, in the washing basket, in a drawer, in the bath. Just a few places we've found missing plushies over the years

Have you got down to child height (ie crawling around on your hands and knees)? Sometimes hiding places invisible to the adult eye reveal themselves…

Inside toy garage/dolls house/baby's sorting toy/small world vehicles or buildings. Under back of sofa cushions. On dining chairs tucked under the table. On window sills behind closed curtains. Behind doors or radiators.
