Does your child’s school do the daily kilometre?

Having just read the Uk childhood thread and the suspicion it’s partly down to lack of exercise among children these days…does your child’s school do the daily kilometre walk or run?

At mine they’re meant to do it a few times a week but sometimes when I ask my child they said ‘oh we didn’t do it this week.’ Prob quite tricky with lesson timings and stuff. Curious if any school has made it a solid daily thing.

I've only heard of a daily mile. Daily km sounds like European cutting corners to me Grin.

They do daily mile, sporadically.

No. I was so disappointed as it's on their website and on front door if school as a sticker but never done it. I think it paused for building work then COVID and disappeared entirely

We started the daily mile when it first came in a few years ago. Over time, seems to have turned into an afternoon break. So only those children that enjoy running still do, however many just stand around chatting.
