Gastroscopy with dental bridge?

I’m due to have a gastroscopy this week for the first time and I’ve just read about the risk of tooth damage from the mouth guard. I have read a few horror stories of people waking up with their teeth chipped.

I have had a bridge for all my upper front teeth for the last 20 years after an accident and as per my dentists instructions I have not bitten down on these teeth in all that time (all food I tear or cut first which works totally fine for me) to keep it structurally sound

I am absolutely terrified of anything ever happening to these teeth and have spent my life being so careful with them, I am now feeling really stressed that I am going to wake up from the procedure and they will be chipped or worse.

Has anyone with dental bridge/crowns had a gastroscopy? Was there any damage?
