For me it’s currently solitude. Space and quiet for myself.

The 2 sheep in my herd that love me. The others tolerate me but these 2 run towards me when they see me.

Walking by myself - urban not rural at all !
Podcasts
Being with my brother and sisters ( without partners ) - especially now both my parents have died
Being with my early adult/ teen children
Sitting in the sun with a takeaway coffee and Kit Kat .
Laying in bed by myself
Being in the company of only a few select friends

RadioGaGaRadioGooGoo · 22/06/2024 22:33

Ooo forgot one - seeing my rainbows and guides do something new and loving it or just generally been with them!

Misorchid · 22/06/2024 22:33

Steam railways, pop up books, country trips, favourite authors, applying makeup, sitting in cafes alone reading or writing, new clothes, citrus perfume.

loropianalover · 22/06/2024 22:35

Bacon sandwiches, jewelery, and morning TV.

FromBackHome · 22/06/2024 22:40

Animals, exercising, hiking and finding a nice view, music, a good tv series to binge, having spare time, summer evenings didn’t outside. Also money, as it means I can do what I like.

The coast.

Seeing the sea every single day, 30 seconds after I leave home. Taking the dog to the beach. Walking along the seafront. Swimming in the sea. Rockpooling. Sitting on the beach after school pick ups on my day off, digging a hole with dc. Taking ds3 to the beach front park and just sitting looking at the view. Everything about the coast just makes me happy, relaxed and content.

I'd be absolutely miserable if I didn't live near the sea tbh.

My lovely dogs
being in woods
driving somewhere a long way away on my own

Sky phenomena, be it moon, meteor showers, rainbows, Aurora Borealis, eclipses, clouds, ISS, stars…

Tap dancing. I told the teacher it was the best 45 minutes of my week. I do two classes now so it's 90 minutes.

Egghead68 · 22/06/2024 22:57

Gardening and fixing things - getting my hands dirty and being able to see the results.
A beach walk on a warm sunny day.
My cat draped over my shoulder, purring.
A long natter with my parents, and seeing them so happy and engaged with life in their late 60s.
The buildup and smell before and after a massive thunderstorm with torrential rain.
Not being in debt of any kind.

Peace and quiet at home. I love when no one is in the house and I can snuggle under a blanket with my dog.

I've started pottery and find it really therapeutic.

I've also found plants, flowers and my garden, I'm not very good but it gives me lots of pleasure

Illustration. I love it so much I dream about it. It feels a bit magic being in the middle of one because I wake up in the morning not knowing what will be on the canvas when I go to bed.

I’m still quite new at it so it’s like going into a world of my own making with lots of problem solving (which I love) amongst my favourite colours. While I’m doing it I repeatedly think “I bloody love this!”

sounds fun☺️ how did you learn it?

Listress · 22/06/2024 23:36

Our dogs
Wild swimming and paddle boarding
The mountains and the view from my windows
My horses (well except the shitland)
Light nights in summer
Walking on grass with bare feet
Sunshine
