Watch and wait or walk in centre

DD whacked her ankle on the high jump bar on Thursday. It's puffed up but not mega swollen. She can walk, it's not terribly painful so we've left it.

However, she can't point her foot upwards. It is too painful in her ankle and across the top of her foot and she says it feels like something will snap. I don't know whether to carry on leaving it be or go to the walk in.

111 just do the bog standard set of questions, not taking into consideration the fact she can't point it upwards.

She has no bruising, just a puffy foot that she can't point upwards Confused

I'd wait until Monday, get an x-ray card from your GP and get the ankle x-rayed. If there is any fractures it will be picked up and she will be referred to A&E there and then.

This what happened when my ds 15 hurt his wrist last summer.
