Switched energy provider in February. I am owed £400 from my previous energy provider. I had to allow 42 days from closing account for my final bill to generate. The £400 refund was confirmed in April and I have still not received it. I have rung countless times they have even had to add £30 compensation for failing to give the refund within 10 working days (I suspect I am owed this £30 afew times now).
I am genuinely at a loss on how a big company making billions in profits is not able to refund. Has anyone else experienced this?
I have now told them I will be going to the energy ombudsman. My concern is I have twice told them I am satisfied with the outcome and it is resolved when they promised me the refund within 10 working days. Obviously I then complain again when the money does not arrive. However on the ombudsman website they will not look into matters that have been 'resolved.'
Has anyone had to deal with a similar situation?
