Jackdaw wars.

For two weeks now our garden has turned into a jackdaw war zone. There are at least 20 of them and they are screeching at each other absolutely constantly from 4am until gone 10pm.
I have never experienced anything like it.
They are flying at each other and dive bombing.
I have no idea what's bothering them. We do have tawny owls that the blackbirds hate but we have lived here 30years and never seen jackdaws so animated.
Has anyone else got this?
I'm blaming the upcoming election!

Could be overlapping territory of two groups of Jackdaws? That might explain the dive bombing. I am not sure what to do about it though.

You have my sympathy. Ours start at dawn and randomly make a racket all day, but at least it's not constant.

Corvids are fascinating birds, but they would be much more appealing if only they could go about their daily business quietly.

Yes, we have this but not for the length of period you have. Often it's around the time of sunrise for maybe half an hour, but we can get them in the evenings too. They go bonkers just as you've said, buzz bombing each other in and out of the tree at the end of the garden. Then will suddenly fly off to who knows where!
