Or true mystery recommendations please.
I'd especially be more interested in ones where someone has been missing and is found.

Bumping if anyone knows of any good ones...

I loved The Teacher’s pet. Doesn’t exactly fit your criteria but really excellent. I just finished season 2 of Someone Knows Something. It got great reviews and was an interesting case but I found it a bit slow. Following with interest.

The Teacher's Pet
Murdaugh Murders

Both long but jaw dropping

I can't remember the specific podcaster, but I listened to the case of Alicia Navarro on YouTube earlier. Seems to fit your brief.

NormaNormalPants · 22/06/2024 19:18

Redhanded is great! I also really enjoyed The Price of Paradise recently.

SirChenjins · 22/06/2024 19:20

Lucy Worsley’s Lady Killers - although no-one is found so it doesn’t meet that criteria, sorry !

TerrorOwls · 22/06/2024 19:20

Thanks! I'm open to any. I've heard a couple and they were gripping but I thought how much better it would be if the person had been found alive in the end. Which is why thought I'd see if there are any that anyone knows of.

I enjoyed the Dr Death podcasts. They're wondry podcasts but can get on apple.

Hohofortherobbers · 22/06/2024 19:24

Red-handed
Rotten mango (my current fave)
All killa no filla
Crime junkie (plenty of missing people)
They walk among us

Bjorkdidit · 22/06/2024 19:24

Some good ones on BBC Sounds

The Doorstep Murder
The Body on the Moor

Can't think of any where someone has been found alive unfortunately.

Jigglypufff · 22/06/2024 19:26

Redhanded.
The root of evil- about the Hodel family and the black dahlia murder. It's not for the faint hearted though.
Swindled- if you want more white collar crime.
The dropout- the story of Rachel Holmes and Theranos.

Dawny1987 · 22/06/2024 19:29

Morbid - a new true crime story every week

NooNakedJacuzziness · 22/06/2024 19:30

British Scandal - the Canoe Con. About the Darwin guy who pretended to be dead for years. It's so unbelievable and quite funny in parts, he was such an ego maniac

ColonelRhubarbBikini · 22/06/2024 19:30

Redhanded is my favourite. They cover a wide variety of crimes and in a lot of locations it’s not just UK or US centric like some can be. They’re also British and of a similar age to me so I relate to them on that level.

Crime Junkie is good one but very US centric.

Hunting Warhead is a one story podcast about tracking down the hosts of a child abuse website on the dark web. It’s an utterly riveting story.

bert3400 · 22/06/2024 19:31

Just started listening to Dead Man Running in BBC Sounds

KnitnNatterAuntie · 22/06/2024 19:37

I follow Emma Kenny on YouTube . . . . she covers some really interesting cases, usually from the UK or USA but occasionally Australia. She releases new videos every Wednesday & Sunday at 7.00 p.m.

She's from a child protection background, I believe, so a significant proportion of the cases she covers are related to children

CuloGrande · 22/06/2024 19:38

It is old but missing Alyssa

TakingTheHorseToFrance · 22/06/2024 19:45

In The Dark Season 2.

Finding Cleo.
Bearbrook
Serial first season because it's iconic. It might have aged well.

ScrambledSmegs · 22/06/2024 19:47

Three Doors Down on Tortoise Media. It's one of the few true crime podcasts that have really stuck with me.

Just listened to Dead Man Running on BBC Sounds, about the not-actually Scottish man who faked his death in the US.

No Strings - about the investigation into Emile Cilliers who cut his wife's parachute strings.

TheresMillionsSaidGeoffrey · 22/06/2024 19:49

Crime and Coffee Couple aren't favourite.

TheresMillionsSaidGeoffrey · 22/06/2024 19:50

*ARE my favourite. Jeez
