Has anyone tried a Snoozeband?

Noisy neighbour problem and listening to podcasts, relaxation YouTube videos helps me block it out. I hate the feeling of earplugs or earbuds bunging up my ears. I have read good reports about Snoozeband. I have a small head and wonder if it would stay in place and whether it’s comfortable for side sleepers. There are lots of dupes and other types of this sort of thing on Amazon, but was thinking of trying the one from the Snoozeband website.

if you’ve got one do you like it? Is it worth £39 ? I was looking at the lightweight one rather than the one that looks thick or the one shaped like eyemasks btw.

Im desperate for some sleep. TIA

I have one and I like it. I have the thick one. Very comfortable for sleeping. Great on flights. The sound isn't as good as AirPods but totally does the job

Fireyflies · 21/06/2024 21:53

I have one and I love it! Never liked earbuds, as they always make my ears sore after a while. The snoozeband has flat-ish little speakers that are comfy and you can lie in your side with it on. You can also slip it down over your eyes if light is a problem.
Only downside I've found was trying to use it on a plane when the background noise was so loud I couldn't really get the volume loud enough to listen to a podcast. But for use in bed, it's great.

FanDann · 21/06/2024 21:54

Yeah it's not noise cancelling so on a flight isn't as good as AirPods for that. But great to cut the light out.

This is the one I have. Not actually snoozeband but similar https://amzn.eu/d/0cHTyvgF

AndAllOurYesterdays · 21/06/2024 21:56

I like mine but it does move around. I wake up and it's fallen off completely or turned around. And it is not that comfortable when I'm on my side. Plus it gets very hot.

GenerousGardener · 21/06/2024 21:56

I’ve got the £39 one and I quite like it. Better than EarPods but it does make me hot. It also slips off during the night. You can’t judge when to charge it either so I just charge it every day.

Ikeatears · 21/06/2024 21:58

I've got the deluxe one that doubles as an eye mask - been life changing for me - I can get to sleep in under 20 minutes compared to 2 or 3 hours before! Doesn't block out dh's snoring all that well but it's loud enough and comfortable.

littlealexhorne · 21/06/2024 22:03

I have the I think £60 one. Like others say its not noise cancelling, but playing podcasts through it does help drown out my partners snoring and get me to sleep much faster. I do find its a little hard to find the balance between too tight and too loose, and it does crush my eyelashes a bit. I'm debating getting the one with the shaped eye cups for this reason, either from Snoozeband again or Manta. However overall the better nights sleep has made it worth every penny, and the customer service team they have are lovely.

Thanks everyone. Didn’t expect to get any replies. I’ve got a tiny head so my concern is that it won’t stay in place, and it sounds like this isn’t unlikely from what you say GenerousGardener. My bedroom is hot too so even the thinnest one they do making you hot doesn’t sound tempting either. Mmmm not sure. Though it does say they are returnable within 15 days. I won’t be using it on plane journeys as I don’t fly often and then only short haul so that’s not a problem.

My head is small and it moves too much for me.

LetMeTryAgain · 21/06/2024 22:12

I bought the Snoozeband that is the eye mask as well. I have a small head.

Went straight back after trying it for a couple of nights. Too hot, felt claustrophobic and could not get it to fit comfortably.

Got a full refund but it is expensive to return them.

HollyGolightly4 · 21/06/2024 22:14

Quite like it, but find the charge a bit rubbish

EasterlyDirection · 21/06/2024 22:21

I bought one and didn't like it (hated the feel of it on my head) and gave it to DH. He likes it but it's no good because the sound leaks out and keeps me awake. So probably no good if you share a bed.

scrapsontheside · 21/06/2024 22:22

I've got cheapy Amazon one and love it, I use it every night and charge on morning, my lgk d tells me how much charge is on the band when in use. If you're worried about the size can you look at the kids ones?

WannabeMathematician · 21/06/2024 22:27

My head is tiny (I fit into my 4yos hats) and it never stays in once I’m asleep. But as long as you aren’t thrashing around I find it fine to fall asleep. I do often wake up with it in the floor though.

MendingTheNets · 21/06/2024 22:36

I've got a cheap Amazon one. Love it. Not too hot, stays out on my smallish head and very comfy. Looking at the Snooze and one, mine is almost identical. They're probably all made in the same factories in China. I'd definitely try a cheap one first to see how you get on.

DayIntarnishedarmour · 21/06/2024 22:37

Thanks so much this is really helpful. I really don’t think the Snoozeband one is going to stay in place on my small head.

scrapontheside. Are you able to link the Amazon one you have please ? A kids version would be perfect I think, as I have to choose frames from the teen range when I get specs.

MendingTheNets. *. Yes I think I’m going to try an Amazon cheaper one. Yours sounds promising. Are you able to send a link?

I absolutely loved my snoozeband. I was super comfortable, easy to control and good to use as an eye mask in summer.

Liz2022 · 21/06/2024 22:49

I bought a snoozeband after getting fed up with earbuds which are impossible to sleep in. Pros: you can sleep on your side no problem. Sound is good. There is no annoying "battery low" alert. Cons: the band is hard to keep in the right position. It slips about and I'm often having to adjust it as I move around. It also has a tendency to slip over your eyes which can make it feel claustrophobic. I am concerned it will be too hot in summer as the fabric is quite thick. . I have no idea when it's running low so it's pot luck unless you regularly charge it. In summary it is certainly not perfect and is overpriced but better than earbuds.

scrapsontheside · 21/06/2024 22:57

My partner bought it, but it was about £15, never had an issue with it. The children's size seem to be animals! (I would deffo wear one but maybe not everyone's taste!

I've got a thinner cheap Amazon one and I just put some safety pins at the back to make it a bit smaller and better fitting. That's worked fine.

scrapsontheside · 21/06/2024 23:00

I don't know how to link but this is it
Edited because it made no sense, my phone's tiny and I caught the wrong buttons!

I've got the muzicozy one which was less than £20 and it's fine

Sorry won't let me link the product!

I use this one. It does fall off during the night, but for me that's not a problem. I don't find it to hot. It's comfy enough to sleep in - on side. The ear bits aren't in exactly the right place for me, but they aren't far off and it's acceptable.

I thought it would make my hair look like a pineapple when I woke up, but it doesn't.
