What is this? Is it larve / grub?

Hi I seemed to have found a couple of these in the house and I have no idea what these are. Please can anyone tell me? As whatever it is I want it gone.

Are they moving / living? I have tried to google image search, but it is mostly coming up with limpet shells. Deficiencies not those.

Can you put something next to it for scale?
I thought it was a seed pod or something rather than a grub.
