Why am I getting ill so often??

I have an 18 month old and since she was born have had 7 awful vomiting bugs. 7!! I've pretty much constantly got a cold. Recently I had a sore throat for 4 weeks which was a fucking joke. Currently my DD has hand, foot and mouth and now I've got blisters coming out on my hands and feet and mouth ulcers so looks like I've caught that too, despite google saying it's rare for adults to get it. I'm so fucking fed up, I've got eczema for the first time as an adult too on my eyelids so they're all puffy and scaley. Honestly if I was a horse they'd put me down.

Friends who have toddlers don't seem as permanently diseased as me so WTF is going on? I try eat well and get enough sleep but it is hard at times. I'm still breastfeeding so could that be dragging my immune system down? I take a multivitamin and a probiotic daily. Is this normal and what else can I do to help myself??

You do sound very rundown. Maybe worth speaking to GP to see if you've a deficiency somewhere, e.g. iron

I'm wondering about a vitamin d deficiency. Can affect your immune system, sounds as if yours is struggling. Do some research, personally I take a high dose, 2000icu daily.

I was just going to say this. You can ask your gp to run blood tests if it's been going on a while. I did and my vitamin d was really low even though I took a multivitamin with it in.

Thanks @BresciaBike might be worth a trip and a blood test. Just don't want to waste their time if they say it's normal to be ill all the time with a toddler!

@Tel12 there's vit D in my multivitamin but don't know if I bigger dose. Will do some research thanks!

It probably won't be

@TooLateForRoses okay thanks, might be worth mentioning then because I can't go on like this 😭 I have an autoimmune disease too which has flared up loads, so fed up of feeling rubbish

I'm just wondering if extended breastfeeding has health risks associated and this is why I feel so rubbish?

From my understanding it's the high dose taken regularly that boosts the immune system. There has been peer reviewed research. I'm not a medic but it does seem like there's something in it.
