I don’t really know the girl at all. I’ve no idea what to take? Any suggestions? She’s a friends niece.

Don't go to the baby shower of a person you barely know?

That'd be my solution!

Generic chocolates or standard Toiletries gift set. It's just a token, for someone that far removed from you then no further thought really necessary or expected

is it her first baby?! After having to go to the supermarket at midnight to get stuff for a cold with my first DS I allways get new mums a calpol plug in, saline spray for nose, baby vics, milton wipes all stuff you don’t know you need untill you need it and maybe a story or two.

I think generic chocolates they can regift if necessary. 8 wouldn’t be going and it might all be a bit awkward but it’s an accident of travelling and timing. But it migh5 be fine too!

Calpol, nappies (I usually buy size 2), decent wet wipes. Mini bottle of Prosecco, sweets or chocolate. Cost around £10.
