Longshot: a while ago - sometime last year - Aldi stopped selling Manchego in their speciality range and replaced it with a very similar hard sheep cheese. After a few months they swapped back to Manchego. My dd really liked the alternative cheese but I now can't remember what it was called and can't find out by googling.
Does anybody know what it was called?
(It's not any of the ones that come up when I google cheeses like manchego like pecorino, ossau irraty etc) I've grown up in quite a cheese loving household and come across a lot of varieties but I'd never heard of this before I saw it in Aldi.
