Why are you awake?

It's 1.50am and I'm at work until 4am. I'm on own with nothing to do and I'm so so tired. I started work at 2pm and was meant to finish at 10pm but the person who was due in a 10pm rang in sick at 9.20pm! So I had to stay.

What do you do?

Oh dear - I feel your tiredness. Tea and watch something?

My body clock is completely out of sync which is why I'm up.

My wee boy has decided we are back to the newborn days of all night partying, except he’s not a newborn, he’s one!

hope the last part of the shift passes quick for you, that’s a really bloody long day

I needed a wee.

I work in a sort of care setting. Over night we only need one person here in case of any emergencies (never are any).

That is a long shift! It is morning in Australia and really cold (Winter) so I am sitting in front of a roaring log fire drinking coffee and faffing around on MN rather than doing anything useful. I was supposed to go to the gym then shopping with DD but she has a stinking cold and I am too lazy to go to the gym on my own. Hope the rest of the time passes quickly.

One of the kids was sick and I've been up with them. They're fast asleep now. So is DH but I can't wind down so scrolling aimlessly through Mumsnet.

I’m awake as it’s my only time for some peace and quiet.

Think there are fleas in the bed. Can't sleep. Feel itchy. Just went downstairs and ate lemon meringue pie. Considering TV. Will regret this in the morning (staying up).

With impunity as I need to put on weight. Think GP meant more along the lines of protein however, but never mind her.

there are so many noisy wood pigeons

Ds woke up for a feed and ddogs wanted out for a pee. All 3 of them are now sleeping again so going to try and get some sleep before my big D's is up for school

I'm nightshift. I've been so busy but it feels like the longest night it's also freezing cold in my work place, I'm looking forward to my bed

Been awake since about 4.00 just decided to make some tea and get up. I am thinking about sex. Which is unusual for me.
