Best way to do away with the dummy at 19 months?

DD is 19 months old. She has a dummy for nap times and night time only. I’d like to get rid of the dummy now before it starts affecting her teeth etc.

What are your tips for doing it at the age she’s at now? I’m not sure if I should be telling her no dummy anymore etc or if I just put her down without it. Her speech and understanding seems good for her age. What do I say to her if anything?

Just leave it for now. She's too young to understand, will get upset and for what exactly? She finds it a comfort to go to sleep with, it's not affecting her speech and the possibility of it affecting her teeth is contentious. She may instead find her thumb which is much harder to get rid of.

Shes too young, it wont ruin teeth. Keep it for a while, but too young at moment

We left our dummy out for Santa to take and said child just accepted it
