Will my Husband be ok?

Scottishdreams1991 · 19/06/2024 12:54

He doesn't want anyone elae to know yet as his mum is currently going though a different time.

He had blood tests done recently and got a call today telling him to go up to the hospital for more tests today.

His white blood cell count was though the roof and something else that he cant remember was far too high.

Im so worried. Can this be nothing? He's only 32 fgs

It's difficult for anyone on here to say as we don't know what his symptoms are. It might not necessarily be anything serious. It's good he's having further tests done.

Oneearringlost · 19/06/2024 13:04

Was it CRP?
High white count can indicate a bacterial infection and high CRP associated infective/inflammatory process.
What did he have the blood tests for?

Oneearringlost · 19/06/2024 13:05

Not necessarily anything sinister. X

I dont think so as he said they would be less worried if he had a infection.

He got a blood test for everything pretty much i think. As he was suffering from tiredness and heat intolerance. The doctor himself wasnt expecting this

Ah. OK.
When he goes back, tell him to ask for a list of the blood tests requested and which ones came back abnormal last time.
All the best. Try not to worry. X

BellaDelBosco · 19/06/2024 13:53

Hey I so wish I could tell you it would be ok, and in the majority of cases it is - I got referred to the hospital urgently in December with suspected symptoms of cervical cancer, and the leaflet the hospital gave me was that 90% of patients referred urgently come out with the all clear. I was all clear. So if statistics are on your side, take comfort in that and as others have said try not to worry. I wish you all the best.

Edited because of typos.

LakeTiticaca · 19/06/2024 13:56

Does he have the NHS app? They send the test results to it
Hope he's OK n nothing serious

@Scottishdreams1991 How did it go today?

Scottishdreams1991 · 20/06/2024 21:21

All good nothing to worry about.
For everything the papers etc say about our Nhs they have been amazing today and yesterday.
We are so relieved and in a strange sort of way we spend time together today which is something we dont get to do with busy jobs and a bunch of kids lol
