Have you ever (or known anyone) behaved out of character due to stress? What did you do?

I'm under a lot of stress right now through work and have also developed an eating disorder. I've noticed I've done a couple of quote outbof character things (not necessarily bad!) and wondered if it's some sort of reaction to stress?
So far I have randomly confided with a male work colleague (who I don't particularly like or even see that often) about a work thing, I've been slacking off and cutting corners at work (when I am ANAL about things like this usually, don't worry I work in a role where it doesn't matter about these things, it's business so worst case scenario is a slight reduction in profit), I've also signed up to a same sex dating site and have booked an appointment for a tattoo (I have never liked tattoos, have a big phobia of needles and don't show my body anyway).

you need to seek professional help before things become even worse. Your GP can talk to you about medication and/or talking therapies to help manage your stress levels and I'd also ask for a referral to an ED service (been there sadly). I tend to internalise my stress and very rarely show if I am upset or angry. After a really dreadful time with my in-laws a few weeks ago (they have narcissistic traits) I kept quiet but was internally raging. This weekend I had someone displaying road rage towards me and I completely lost it, shouting and swearing like a banshee!! This is so not like me, but I think I just could not hold it in any longer. The person quickly got back in their car and drove off, so I must have been quite scary!

Please seek some support. I wish you all the best.

Thank you. I feel like maybe this is just a bad patch and I can get through it. Don't want to be medicated!
We can't be the only ones?

Medication is last resort and always a choice
