Preeclampsia survivors - how is your health now?

Looking for experiences from anyone who suffered from preeclampsia in their pregnancies, however many years ago.

I had preeclampsia with my daughter just over a year ago and my blood pressure looks like it’s developing into chronic hypertension. High blood pressure does run in my family so it’s not entirely unexpected but it’s very depressing dealing with this at only 41.

Reading up on the long term effects of preeclampsia makes for pretty sober reading and I am very worried about what else is to come.

I know everyone’s health is individual but I’d be grateful for anyone who could reassure me.

Hi,
I had an eclamptic fit with my first child and pre eclampsia with my second. Ive had neurological problems for at least a year but the GP doesnt think is related.
My mum also had pre enclampsia with me (1980) shes had a heart attack about two years ago.

I have neurological problems, I have peripheral neuropathy in both feet, legs & fingers, it started 14 years after ds was born. My Fibromyalgia & ME/CFS are definitely linked to pre eclampsia & the trauma I suffered during & after giving birth, I also developed HELLP syndrome & my major organs began to shut down within hours of ds being born.
