And yes I know I should have checked they worked properly. Lesson learned!

Friend bought some wireless earphones which I sent tracked. Friend messaged me yesterday saying one doesn't charge and could I please refund her and she'll send the earphones back.

I apologised and said no problems. The postage cost me about £11. Do I refund her postage plus what she paid me?

Well, if you don’t she will be out of pocket for your mistake. That’s not fair.

if she is a friend then even more reason not to want her to be left out of pocket.

Yes, if your advert led her to believe they were working so she bought them in good faith.

She should return them before you refund otherwise despite being a friend you may find yourself without the goods and the money.

You have to refund everything including the postage for the customer to return them to you unless stated in your terms and conditions.
