Keeping a promise (related to money you might just have well set on fire)

In the “money you may just as well set on fire” thread, I said:

The £45 that I paid to talkdecor (yes, I know) for a beautiful velvet embroidered coat cardi thing.
That's talkdecor, vipers, just in case you were thinking of buying from them.

Well, I need to update.
I sent several quite cross emails to this firm, which resulted in an eventual reply stating that the item had sold out.
In absolutely no hope of my money back, I then demanded a similarly priced substitute, in a series of emails, until finally, I sent this:

Hello again.
Where is my embroidered velvet dress?
Where is any info from you about it?
Where is my refund?
I have just told everyone on Mumsnet about your firm not sending me my dress.
That is MILLIONS of women, who now know that you haven't sent me what I paid for.
MILLIONS of potential customers for you have been warned that you take money and don't send the goods.
If you send me my dress, or refund me in full, I will update the women on Mumsnet.
Thank you

After a bit more to-ing and fro-ing, I sent this:

I hope this is a genuine offer.
I have looked at other items for replacement and it looks as though two garments would be the correct price for the missing velvet item.
I want to be very clear that I do NOT want polyester.
The advert says they are linen and cotton, so that is what I want.
On receipt of these replacements, I will post something on Mumsnet, updating what I said about not receiving what I paid for.
I think that one week from today's date would be a reasonable time to allow for postage.
I look forward to receiving my replacements.
Thank you

Well, fair's fair, I GOT REPLACEMENTS.
Two cotton/polyester mix garments, a dress and some trousers.
I didn’t really expect linen, but apparently not 100% cotton either. Oh well.
They are OK for summer wear, will pack well and dry quickly.

Job done.

Great, you have just inspired me to do the exact same thing with 1outlets.com who cancelled my order back in march and have still not refunded! Scammers. Fingers crossed i have the same success.

Excellent!
I don't know if it was me refusing to go away or the power of Mumsnet that produced the result, but good luck!
