My friend cancelled on me for a week end break away to a hotel and spa!!
It's my first time having a baby sitter in a long time and I just feel so upset that I don't have any other plans or many friends to make plans with with this free time..
How could I enjoy this time on my own??

That's crap. What was her reason? I'd go anyway though.

DaftyLass · 18/06/2024 02:51

I'm sorry she can't go with you, but don't miss out! Go and spoil yourself, with no distraction

Afternoonteavirgin · 18/06/2024 04:31

Nobody else available?
Could you advertise on mn/fb and pick a candidate that looks the best company 🤔 🤣
Did she have a good reason at least?

IDontHateRainbows · 18/06/2024 05:21

I'd want a bloody good reason for the cancelation or I'd be making some new friends

Pelham678 · 18/06/2024 05:29

Would you fancy a group weekend away like a yoga retreat or similar. They're often quite pampering and you would have other people to hang out with.

Unless your friend has a very good reason for cancelling I'd be re-evaluating that friendship.

MinnieMountain · 18/06/2024 05:32

I love going to a spa by myself.

Your friend had better have a damn good reason though.

TheSandgroper · 18/06/2024 05:45

Just go. Figure it out when you get there.

I’ve often said that there is nothing wrong with a good period of silence.

unsync · 18/06/2024 05:48

Unless someone died or is seriously ill, there's no excuse, that's just a shit friend.

Go by yourself. You might make some new friends. It sounds like you could do with better ones.

cavernclub · 18/06/2024 06:32

That's a really shitty thing to do. Did she say why?
