My DS is 12 years old and has asked if he can read these books on which Five Nights at Freddie's is based (or the other way round maybe). Are they suitable for a 12 year old?
He has read, and was fine with, the hunger games books.

We all read Stephen KIng, James Herbert and Richard Laymon in first form (year 7 now I think) I can't see they'd be worse than some of them. (And Lace and Jilly Cooper novels 😂)

DS read them (and played the game) at that age and did not have nightmares or have any behaviour changes.

My DS read these at that age; he was fine. Like others said, I was reading The Rats at 11/12; nothing.
