McDonald's Milkshake

Is it just me or have they changed?

The last 2 times I've got a strawberry milkshake they've tasted disgusting (both times were this year at different places)

Thinking of risking it again but they weren't drinkable the other ones I had so thought I'd ask on here

Bad luck or has the recipe changed?

I am sure they have changed them. The strawberry in particular. It's not something I have regularly so it could have changed some time ago.

A few weeks ago I got a strawberry one and the taste was really overpowering and weird, and the colour was a lot brighter than before. My DD who has them more often didn't think it was any different to other ones she had recently had, so I am guessing they have changed the recipe, rather than being a one off dodgy one.

I'm in mcdonald's now and I've got a strawberry lemonade. There was a big symbol on the screen saying 'new allergy information' so perhaps if they use the same syrup in both and its changed?

Chocolate tastes sour, like it's off.

I asked for a replacement and it was exactly the same. Not having another.

I’ve noticed their regular Coke tastes disgusting now. I don’t know if they’re trying to pass off Diet or Zero as regular because it tastes like sweeteners to me which make me gag.

Yes this sounds like my experience, it tasted really synthetic

Why are you posting about coffee?

Teenage DD had one at the weekend and didn't notice a difference (chocolate)
but ours can vary depending on the machine I think. Overly chocolately, or very pale brown yet tastes of banana.

It does put me off knowing those machines are a haven for bacteria.

Don't go often!

I went but got vanilla which definitely tasted different but unlike the strawberry was drinkable
