Severe Chickenpox recovery advice

My son is currently going through a severe reaction to chickenpox. I'm not here for advice as he's being look at my doctors (secondary skin, chest and ear infections) so we're aware of what we need to be doing for him. I just need support from anyone who has been through this with their LO. I just feel so helpless and I know it's not important in the long run but I'm so scared he's going to be severely scarred for life his whole face got infected and it was just awful. He's only just turned one and I just feel so awful for him. I just regret getting him vaccinated.
He's been through so much - preemie, ventilated, trips to a&e for breathing but this has just been the absolute worst.
I just need someone to tell me it's all going to be ok.

They didn't get infected but my youngest got chickenpox at 11 months and the spots were so awful. Huge, angry red spots all over. She didn't have a clear cm of skin anywhere. It was awful and they left big dents when the scabs eventually fell off.

She's now just turned 2 and a few are still ever so slightly visible on her back but the worst ones that were on her face have completely gone.

I assumed it was a bit of a myth but oat baths really did help soothe her skin. She would just sit in the bath looking miserable (but clearly better than when she was out) while I gently poured the oaty water over her.
