Best app for rebooking driving test

I booked my son's driving test six months ago for 22 July, thinking that was plenty of time, but his driving instructor says he isn't ready yet. Can anyone please recommend an app for rebooking your driving test? I wish I had known about these sooner as my older son waited six months for a second test after he failed his first test.

I think it depends on your test centre to be honest.

Testi was highly recommended so we paid for that two months ago, but not a single test has come up before December for our test centre. Another one 180 miles away seems to have new tests daily, although there is a wait for most of those too, September/October time.

Thank you, that's useful to know.

what app is the best one to use?

Sotired I am giving Testi a go (I currently have a test for DD booked in Methyr Tydfill for mid-August that I eventually tracked down - ideally we want Bristol area). It has taken me/DH a few hours to find a booking over the past fortnight and that includes logging in at 6am on a Monday. I was probably looking at about 5 centres by this point.

I paid £11.99 to upgrade Testi so that I could specify the two test centres I preferred and date range. I had 4 cancellations pop up yesterday, but they were for this weekend/early June (DD says she wouldn't be ready).

The system is mad (and presumably most test have been reserved by people either block-booking for their students or people like me booking any old test they can find in the hope that they can shift it).

DD's instructor has young kids/holidays booked etc, as do we, so I have a hunch that we might end up contacting a driving instructor in Wales for a few local lessons and use of his car for the current test booked.

As if to prove my point, I've just had five notifications for cancellations for the same day/centre in late August come through within the space of a minute.

It is a mad system. I found that the only day that test dates became available was a Monday - and that new times came available all day BUT you need to be ready to change. I was advised not to bother with any other site than the official site. Suggest that you randomly log on between now and Monday, and then on Monday be ready with the refresh button and you will hopefully be able to rebook.

Best of luck ...
