Any ideas? Teachers- is there any gifts that stand out (in a positive manner) for you? Wondering whether to stick to the usual gift cards or branch out this year.

Gift cards are lovely. I think it’s hard to do unusual without it potentially just being a bit weird - unless you know the teacher really well.

Most appreciated are handwritten notes / cards from dc saying something they’ve enjoyed.

However every gesture is really appreciated and I have many gifts given by children over the years that I still use / have / remember them fondly by - looking around my study now I can see several.

One year every single gift was bee related. I’m allergic (which they wouldn’t have known). I have no idea why they all decided I must really like bees 😂

Yes, a little note written by a pupil saying what they enjoyed during the year is always really great. Otherwise the best presents that I have ever received were a rose bush and a personalised Christmas decoration.

I agree about handwritten notes, these are always heartwarming! Giftwise, I don't think you should aim at something especially unique, go with a well-known things like chocolates, gift tea or coffee set boxes or something slightly personalized like academic calendars for the next year with class photos, if there are any. Edibles and useful things are the best, and definitely don't do mugs. My friend is a teacher and she has a whole collection of them 😂

Thanks all. I ended up with giftcards and put them in with little bits and bobs like chocolates and bath bombs.
