Have you ever felt like a friend disliked you?

Friend had a get together last night and said to arrive from 5:30. I got there at 6 (forgot I had to get petrol)m and I was the last one there) and she seemed instantly irritated by my presence.

Earlier in the year we discussed a city break and then she said maybe in the autumn instead and went on a week holiday with her other friend.

She planned a NYE get together with me and our two mutual friends, they then cancelled and she went out with a different friend and didnt invite me.

I don’t know … anyone experienced this, it’s like a feeling of you know you aren’t liked anymore.

I know this is an old thread but this is a topic I’m interested in and I’m surprised it didn’t get any replies.I’m interested in this topic because I think friendships are often harder to navigate than romantic relationships - eg you have to ‘end’ a romantic relationship but ending a friendship is less clear and more awkward. Most people just phase friends out or make excuses not to meet than tell people directly why a friendship has to end.

OP - I’ve had this happen to me many times . I found it really debilitating for my self esteem. Like they treat others with more respect but feel I’m fair game to have a go at or take the piss.
