Is it a scam?

Something has come up on Facebook marketplace that I’d like to buy. I have not bought/ sold much on there and I’m not very familiar with the common pitfalls to watch out for.

The seller has included in the listing her telephone number and says please message directly via mobile as her ‘Facebook messenger is broken’…

Is it ok to contact her directly? I’m assuming it’s ok and a stranger can’t do too much damage with just my mobile number. I think it’s fine but before I contact the seller can anyone tell me if I’ve missed something…?

Facebook messenger isn’t broken. It’s so you don’t have their details when they disappear

It could well be a scam but I do know a few Businesses (not individuals) who couldn't use their FB messaging for a couple of days at the end of this week)

I'd assume someone's had their FB hacked.

Are you collecting and is it cash?
