Night sweats (drenched) aged 32

For maybe a month-6 weeks now I have been having severe night sweats. When I say severe I mean I have woken at 1am or 4am or sometimes both thinking I have pee’d myself apart from the fact it is from the pillows to the feet. The bedding needs fully striped including mattress protector and pillow projectors as they are wet.

My bedding and pjs are 100% cotton I sleep with both windows open and the duvet is only 7.5tog. My husband works night shifts 3-4 nights a week and it makes no difference whether he is in the bed or not my side is soaking.

To be honest the broken sleep is annoying but the thing that’s getting my is the amount of time per week I am wasting washing and drying and making the bed again.

had anyone any ideas of what I can do or if you’ve ever had anything like this? It’s starting to worry me now. Thank you in advance x

Not really, they did bloods which came back as being ‘very anaemic’ but I’m not sure that would relate to anything other than the tiredness I think they said 10 and lower is low and mines was 2.4?

Night sweats wise I still have them but not to the extreme I was having them so more like once/twice per week rather than 5\6per week.

Has the GP considered peri menopause? I had premature menopause, peri symptoms began age 33 and really increased until menopause at 35/36. HRT stopped the night sweats after a few months at 36. Post menopausal from 37.

I had night sweats prior to average perimenopause age and got blood tests, lymph node examination followed by ultrasound as some nodes were inflamed (all ok) and a chest x ray. It can be a sign of lymphoma you see. I recommend you go back and ask for a thorough assessment. Definitely tackle the low iron. I recommend SpaTone.

Then if all clear consider this could be a sign of premature ovarian insufficiency. Don't let the GP fob you off, this can occur in 1:100 women. Needs tackling with HRT to avoid things like osteoporosis. Ask your see a GO specialising in women's health and menopause.

You lot need to stop flagging everything as perimenopause. I had unexplained night sweats at 40 and it is cancer.
