Supermarket delivery - food eaten!

honeyandbutterontoast · 15/06/2024 20:39

Just had my food delivery.

one of the items was biscuits, the outer box is missing, inner wrapper torn open and half the biscuits missing!

Has anyone had this happen to them? Ive used the online form to make a complaint, I’m guessing they will refund the item.

Just so cross, they were my one “treat” in the entire shop and I had been looking forward to them!

No but I would report it.

Yeah sorry about that. Traffic was a nightmare on the north circular today 😞

Shame you didn’t notice before you accepted the order - that would have been an interesting conversation with the driver!

Tesco Driver 😅

Op - Report it in your app or to customer services, they should refund you and apologise. Although it won't change the craving for what you should have been getting tonight, sorry that's rotten

Glad you posted as it's been something I've wondered about re shopping deliveries and if you get hungry en route. May not be the brightest driver to have given you back empty wrappers tho, wouldn't it be more sneaky to have left them out completely
Anyway, hope you get it sorted!

I didn’t think to check all the contents of the bags while he was here. Only issue I’ve ever had before is split packaging or something squashed under a heavy item.

Im rather irrationally cross about it tbh, in that way of someone who has looked forward to something for a week and can’t buy them anywhere locally.

And I would have found it far less rude for the person to just remove the half eaten bag!!

I would definitely eat the biscuits that were left in the packet. Blush Might remove the top one for hygiene reasons but the rest would be fair game.

Edited

Sorry didn’t realise some places still give you bags - mine comes in crates that you have to empty so I’d spot if something was damaged.

They were all jiggled round in the packaging. So I wasn’t going to eat them. Did consider it though!
