If you’re going to Taylor Swift in London….

What’s your plan? Are you staying overnight? If so what area? What sort of transport will you be using? It’s such a long show, will all the tubes still be running when it finishes? I was looking at staying somewhere near the end of the metropolitan line but am a little nervous at how reliable that line is?

Im not usually nervous about London but I’ll likely be coming on my own and I always find it reassuring to hear what others are doing.

Thank you!!

National Express is the way to go as they leave from right outside the stadium so you don't have to join the tube queue.

is it possible to bring in any food at all? even if just small pack of sushi, bit of fruit, maybe a packet of crisps?

and what about water… can i bring my refillable water bottle already full of water?

No food allowed at all. It'll all be taken off you, everyone has their bag searched.

In terms of the bottle:

"You cannot bring food or drink from the outside into the stadium with the exception of a small plastic bottle to refill inside. (Max size 500ml and must be empty on entrance). This applies to those guests with seated tickets only."

Standing tickets cannot bring a bottle at all. They must use a cup from inside.

As someone who lives local to wembley you could stay in pinner, south kenton, preston road, northwick park. There is free parking in most of these areas. And short tube ride to Wembley park for the concert.
Alot of locals near to the stadium have parking from £20 as most tend to allow you to park on their driveway (including my in-laws) through parking apps.

Hotels are likely to be expensive but I think there's a premier inn not too far from northwick park station.

Happy to answer any questions you may have

All cold taps in Wembley stadium provide potable water.

Yes as long as you have seated tickets you can use the free water points to fill up. If you have standing tickets you aren't allowed to bring an empty bottle.

I took two small (full, sealed) bottles in with me - like fruit shoot size. It was fine, not even checked. I didn't want to drink loads and need a wee!

Mind you, we were in Edinburgh and it was cold, so no worries about needing to hydrate!

These are Wembley's own rules rather than being tour specific

HighHeelsOnCobblestones · 23/06/2024 09:58

We took a 500ml bottle of water each in. They were pretty full and didn’t have to empty them; just had to give the lids to the staff waiting just inside the turnstiles. Bags were then searched but they didn’t spot a couple cereal bars we had hidden in the pockets.

Loo queues were insane where we were. At the latest, go during Paramores last couple of songs because everyone will try go straight after they’re done, the already long queue will quadruple and you won’t get back in time for Taylor. If you’re seated in section 119 and female do not walk out of your seat and go to the first loo on the left. It’s a men’s loo with the sign changed to women’s and it only has three cubicles. Go to the next along which has loads, the line will move quicker! If your male, expect women scared of missing the start to be queuing to also use the cubicles in the few loos that are still signposted as mens 😂

We left about 30mins early as we were worried about trains and we had the DC with us. Friday night thameslink cancelled some trains because they didn’t have enough drivers. The app wouldn’t load the live train info whilst in the stadium (so many people in one place the data can’t cope!) so had no idea if they were running ok or not. Turns out they were fine but glad we didn’t risk it, the kids were knackered. A few others had the same plan but it was really quiet and straight on the tube (At Rep tour lots left during the last song and we had to queue a bit but still quicker than staying right to the end).

keeptryinggirl · 23/06/2024 10:04

so helpful thanks!

these weren’t your reusesble drinking bottles presumably if you had to hand over lids?

keeptryinggirl · 23/06/2024 10:04

what time did you get there? what time did taylor come on?

ImPunbelievable · 23/06/2024 10:26

Taylor comes on at 19.20. There's a countdown that plays and people go nuts 😂

We got there at 6 with standing tickets and still got good spots as lots of people move around until she's on

No, they have to be soft plastic and no lids. Not allowed metal or hard plastic reusable ones.

storminabuttercup · 23/06/2024 10:57

Don't forget it starts earlier tonight @keeptryinggirl so she will be on earlier.
Enjoy. It was absolutely brilliant.

Where have you seen 6.35? Ticketmaster says Taylor on at 7 tonight?

Anyone know why it's earlier tonight than the last two nights? I've seen rumours of an announcement

Just want to let everyone know that there was a three hour queue to buy merchandise at the official shop outside the stadium this weekend.

un fathomable to be that bothered about buying merchandise that in pretty sure you could buy online

GellerYeller · 23/06/2024 11:47

I was so impressed with Anfield, there were rows of portaloos in front of the merch area outside, and more inside the actual stadium(at least on our level, seated). We never queued for more than a couple of minutes. We too sneaked in cereal bars in our pockets!!
I was surprised how quickly Taylor came onstage after Paramore, so wouldn’t chance a loo break between acts. They were incredible too.
I hope Wembley is a good experience and the transport network is kind to you.

The shops inside were empty when I went during the gig on Friday
