Well, I went out yesterday at 10am, walked the five minutes into town, went to three shops and got home at 2pm. I was utterly baffled. Four hours! I thought I'd been in a time slip or something!

Anyway, I unpacked the shopping and glanced at the kitchen clock (which I'd checked the time on when I left). It said it was 11am. Now I was really confused! So, I looked at my watch (which had told me it was 2pm) and realised the battery had gone flat as the second hand wasn't moving, it must have died at 2am.

I felt a right idiot! I'd even said good afternoon to someone when I was out 🙄

Ds kisses me on the cheek so lightly and I asked why do you kiss so lightly. He said I don't want to break you.

DD12 kicks her shoes off and just leaves them for the tidying fairy to pick up and put away. The tidying fairy (me) couldn't be arsed on Thursday night so didn't pick her shoes up. They were by the guinea pigs' cage.

Friday morn DD goes to put her school shoes on and one of the guinea pigs must have kicked a poo pellet out of the cage and it landed in DD's shoe.

DD was horrified when she put her shoe on. I proper belly laughed and told her it was her own fault 😂😂😂

@mrswhiplington It's derisory comments and attitudes like these that perpetuate the thinking that the English hate the Scots. The 'joke' is ridiculing a nation with the assumption that others reading will agree. It leaves a bad taste, especially in a thread that was intended to lift spirits.

I would imagine that an awful lot of Scots will be laughing at England when they get beaten. It's football, it's how it works. Rival teams have been doing this since the sport was invented.

I have guests arriving next week. It's a bit like herding cats to get arrival times so I can pick people up from arrival points.

One guest finally gave me their arrival and departure time. I messaged another guest (who I've asked and asked their times and I still don't know) to tell them the times from guest one as they're arriving and departing from the same place. Guest two replied 'at last!' Yet guest two has still not told me their times! I replied 'pot and kettle'. Yep, looking at you DSis if you're on here...

Well. I guess you had to be there for this one 😁 but I live near Ed Davey and see him wandering about frequently. In the pub last week one random woman I was chatting to said oh what do you think of him, what's he like? I've never spoken to the man, so I said he seems perfectly nice, but he's a lot more shiny than he looks on TV! She said Chinese? I said NO, they just obviously put a lot of make up on him on TV, because Ed Davey's normally quite shiny!! Another person piped up "What Ed Davey's Chinese? I didn't know that!!" I gave up by that point but thanks to me two large tables of voters (and probably more by now) in Ed Davies constituency now believe him to be Chinese.

I'm a nanny and the toddler I used to look after was shouting fuck at the top of his voice as we went past a park on the bus, he was actually trying to say duck and pointing to them in the park, I was getting a lot of disapproving looks 🤣

Been browsing Gumtree for a used car and found a canoe in the car section... Said it had service history etc!! I messaged the bloke his car had no wheels and thanks for the laughs. He messaged back No Bother Pal!!

Huge crash of thunder today right over the house my three cats leg it to hide behind my eldest son downstairs he was more scared than them! Out of three cats one looked like a toilet brush and the other two (who have spent a week arguing and hissing at each other) tried hiding behind each other

It was one of those you had to be there moments but my goodness did those fat cats fly! Bottle brush cat is so traumatised hours later he is sleeping off his fear 😂
