Can you help me plan a weight loss strategy?

Here are my details/issues:
Age 61 and probably weigh between 14-15 st.
I have an increasingly sore hip/leg. I've had an MRI, injections, physio etc but it's getting sorer. I really think losing weight will help with this but with reduced mobility i am gaining weight at an alarming rate.

I am retired and DH still works full time. I am in charge of all the food related stuff. DH is very slim and fit. He is currently training for a marathon. He needs a LOT of food.

I can eat a reasonable breakfast and lunch but then i appear to be ravenous all afternoon. It is ridiculous what i can eat. DH is often not home until 7/8pm. I would rather eat earlier.

I'm finding cooking hard because of the sore leg. If i had endless money i would hire a chef to prepare me delicious food but that's not possible! I also drink too much wine and i need to knock that on the head. Empty calories and all that. I also have a lot of low mood and brain fog and i know wine wont be helping with this. I have a GP appointment next week to try and sort out some of my current issues.

What strategy do you think I would be best/easiest to employ to feed both of us?
